Alongside our community work, we’re currently developing a book that shares the raw and honest journey behind What About Now?. Blending lived experience with reflection and hope, the book explores what healing really looks like — not as a neat, linear process, but as a messy, courageous act of survival. Our aim is to offer comfort, connection and validation to anyone who has ever felt alone in their struggle.
“To the ones who fought bravely, but could fight no more. To those whose lives were forever altered by a lack of timely support” – The Book Project
“I remember I first found out what suicide was and thinking how do people do that? I thought that would never be me… but it was” – The Book Project
“I felt scared and alone, I completely withdrew from myself and everyone around me” The Book Project

“Eventually I gave up all hope. My need for escape was always at the forefront of my mind. I made the decision that I no longer wanted to be alive in a world that I found so hard to navigate” – The Book Project
“I had spent my whole life trying to escape myself, trying to become someone else… Only to find out being me was more than enough” – The Book Project
