Everyone has days where it seems that everything that could go wrong does go wrong, unfortunately that is just life. In the past days like this wouldn’t seem like the end of the world. A good nights sleep would do the trick and the next day would be a fresh start.
One disclaimer I will make before writing this I am by no means a drama queen – those who know me are probably reading that and laughing. Maybe in the past I might have been but this new me certainly is not, I have grown. However, if I do slip into old ways just know that it’s hereditary.
Jokes aside – I’m sure when the universe sees me on an upward climb it thinks to itself absolutely fucking not. Genuinely there is someone up there that’s held a grudge and when they fuck with me they are taking no prisoners! What I used to think of as ‘just one of those days’ now feels like a very personal attack! As I said drama queen I am not.
So the last few days I’ve been on a bit of a high – I’ve overshared and it’s turns out to not be the end of the word, in fact I would go as far as to say it’s gone pretty well. And this person (absolutely no idea who or why) is looking down thinking “what can I do to knock her down a peg or two”. Now let me tell you they do not do things by halves.
- My phone fell out of my pocket into the road, not the end of the world I know. Then a car comes speeding around the corner and runs it over. This absolutely is the end of the world! Someone is fucking with me – they let me think my phone was going to be ok and then they might as well of said “Haha, only joking, you’re phones fucked”
- I go to the bank – something I don’t make a habit of because I’m currently unemployed and I just don’t need that kind of negativity at the moment. Anyway, I pay some cash in and ask for it to be transferred to my mum. Last time I checked my mum wasn’t called Elle Ward – the bank person (whatever they’re called) decided I didn’t want to give my mum that money. She decided that I actually wanted to put that money into a bank account that I haven’t used for over a year! So now I have to drive on a motorway (not my strong point at the moment) because there is not a local branch and I don’t even have a card for this account!!
It is safe to say after these events I was crying in the bank – I mean people must of thought I had lost thousands!
My point is although it can seem like the world is against you it really isn’t. Things that seem like a vendetta against you really aren’t. Sometimes it feels like you are taking two steps forward and one step back – it is absolutely ok to take the scenic route! And one day without even realising you will have the day from hell and you will again be able to write it down to being “just one of those days”. Until that day comes just know that there is someone out there having a worse day than you and it is probably me!
